Learn to crochet
Join us at the Tipton County Public Library on Saturdays in February to learn how to crochet. Classes will begin Feb. 4 at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and continue for four weeks. Projects include a dishcloth, potholder, scarf and afghan. There is a small fee for materials. Class size is limited, so call 675-8761 to reserve you spot today.

Free computer classes
The Tipton County Public Library is offering two classes this month.
Basic for Beginners will be held Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 5 p.m. or Friday, Feb 10, at 10 a.m.
Basic Windows for Beginners will take place Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 5 p.m. or Friday, Feb. 24, at 10 a.m.

Valentine Creator
Join us at the Tipton County Public Library on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 4 p.m. to make your own Valentines to hand out this year. You will have several options to choose from and materials will be provided. Materials and space are limited so register today. The class is for children in kindergarten through second grade.

Movie at the Windfall Library
Join the Windfall Library staff Thursday, Feb. 9, at 4:30 p.m. to watch a fun movie. All ages are welcome and no registration required.

We Were Soldiers
We Were Soldiers
will be shown at the Diana Theater on Wednesday, March 14 at 7 p.m. with a special appearance by author, journalist and Bronze Star recipient Joe Galloway. Galloway co-wrote the book We Were Soldiers Once… and Young. Admission is $10 per person.

Book signing and discussion
Joe Galloway, co-author of the book We Were Soldiers Once… and Young, will be at the Tipton High School gymnasium Thursday, March 15 at 7 p.m. for a book signing, discussion and meet and greet. Admission is $15 per person. Tickets are available at the Tipton American Legion, Post 46 (765) 675-4180, and at the Tipton Moose Lodge (765) 675-2262.

Kindergarten Roundup
Kindergarten Round-Up for Tipton Elementary School will be by appointment only on the following dates:
• Wednesday, March 21, noon - 7 p.m.
• Thursday, March 22, noon - 7 p.m.
• Friday, March 23, 7:40 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Please call (765) 675-7397 ext. 400 to set up your appointment. Students must be five years of age by Aug. 1, 2012. There will be a screening for each individual student. Parents are asked to bring their child's original birth certificate and immunization records to this appointment. Visitors should enter Tipton Elementary at the main south entrance and sign in upon entering.

Winter Reading Club
(Jan. 9 – Feb. 18)
Stop by the Tipton Library and share your passion for reading. It’s easy and fun to participate in the Winter Reading Club. To participate listen to or read a book, magazine, newspaper and write the title on an entry form and you’re entered in the weekly prize drawings.
