Students in Roger Borders' fifth-grade class listened to a presentation by teacher Beth Woelfert in the Tipton Middle School Planetarium on Tuesday. Megan Silvers, at left, and her classmates learned about the different stars in the constellation Orion during the show. Tipton High School science teacher Sueanne Esposito is leading an effort to increase awareness of the uses and needs of Tipton's aging planetarium. Gary Paczosa, of e-Planetarium, will give community leaders a first-hand look at a new projection system tonight. Esposito hopes to raise funds to purchase the new projector and expand the capabilities of the planetarium.
